The electrical pole in this painting is located at a bus stop a couple of hundred feet from my house. One day while I was waiting for the bus, I heard the crack of a baseball bat at a nearby park and imagined a baseball travelling across the sky. I added a bird on the top wire. It is looking at the ball. I like the odd perspective of this painting. This pole appears twelve years later in the painting "Bus Stop".
